First trip to GM Klang Wholesale Center, Selangor, Klang

Yay. This is my first post about Story in Klang.
Klang is consider as one of a satellite city surrounding Kuala Lumpur. Its located within the Klang Valley and its inside of Selangor State in Malaysia. Besides, the Famous Bak Kut Teh and Pork Klang, Klang is actually more than just the above.

In these recent years, the most changes I have seen in Klang is definitely GM Klang.
GM Klang is a wholesale center that have hundreds of shops under one roof, selling thousands of different product at wholesale price (That's if you buy in bulk, however it's still consider cheap buying in retail price here)

It used to be just a 1 storey building (as seen in picture below)

Now, its a multi-storey building, with inside parkings. No longer afraid of rains and sunshine. But many still prefer to park along the roadside, I guess its more convenient. Anyway, parking is free.

Update 24 March 2014 : The open space parking is now closed for Phase 2 construction. Meaning its best if you park inside the building.

The lift have directory next to the lift buttons. But not exactly accurate, so I recommend you to go to every floor to search for your needs. 4th floor is still pretty empty. Dunno why.

The lift is very clean and posh looking. Got LCD screen with music somemore, but the pictures shown not really relevant to the wholesale mall. I think they should use it as another mean of advertisement for the shop owners here.

I decide to go to the 2nd level as I am looking for Children clothes.
Oh, just a reminder to everyone, the parking is still free. Parking on the 5th, 6th and Roof does not required you to take any ticket. Parking at the basement floor is a little hassle because you need to take the ticket and validate at autopay station on the Ground Floor. Funny...why don't put at the basement.
Lots of nice clothes for sale. Although this is a wholesale mall, but they are also selling for people like me. I think if I buy more, they will sell me in wholesale price.
The shop below sell retro outfit, well to me is retro.
Its on the 2nd floor, near to a lift.

The whole stretch of shops is selling clothes at wholesale price.

You can find some shops selling nice fashion accessories as well.
Look at those cute owl necklaces.
Misai necklace also got.

Another accessory shop. Surprisingly, the quality of the items here is quite good.
Affordable too.

Wow. Pandora bracelets.
When I asked them, they said its Inspired by Pandora.
Nice.
Oh, thanks to the shopkeeper who lets me take photo.
Normally, people will chase me away.
I can choose my own styles of "Inspired by Pandora" bracelet. Cool.

Opposite this shop, you can all this awesome figurines. Almost all "boys", big or small will stop and stare for at least a minute admiring these Ultraman Family, Dragonball Team and Avengers as well.
I see Upin & Ipin and Boiboiboy soft toys too. For those who wants to find educational toy, this shop also sell them. But i think your kid will find many other toys more attractive. Especially those will cartoon characters.

If your kid wants to be a hero, try wearing these costumes. Although they don't look very nice but kids still love them. Spiderman on the left, Wolverine on the right. Er..don't know who is that in the middle.

Meng Shop! What a easy name to remember. Warning to parents, do not bring your kids here if you don't prepare to buy them anything. They will stop and drag you inside and beg you to buy at least 1 item for them for sure. Price is definitely good. Quality of the toys, pasar malam class.

Luvable friends. Nice and neat. Unlike the rest of other shops, this one sell quality clothes.
This shop is on 2nd floor as well.

For business owners, you can find all kind of display accessories in this shop. Well, in another word....if you want to open a shop or a small stall, just visit this shop. Next to this shop, there is a similar one as well but KST seems to be a little better.

Lots of inflatable swords. Perfect for kids sword fights.
Looks like its really for "Borong".
Borong means wholesale in Malay, for those who don't understand Malay.

Quack,quack, quack.
Wholesale ducks. These ducks don't float, they are just soft toys.
I bet they will sink if you put them in your bathtub.

For those who loves swimming, and loves to bring their kids to swim as well.
Look no further, you can find all kinds of inflatable toys. Look at the giraffe with flowers pattern, so cute.

Wau! They have kites too. But printing quality, so-so only. Anyway once its up in the sky, no one see it.

Whole stretch of shops selling toys.

Clothes, clothes and more clothes shop.

Well, this is where I park my car. On the 7th floor. Surprisingly, people starts to leave this place around 6 pm. I think the wholesale mall close around 6 plus or 7 pm.

Nice view from the car park of GM Klang.

This used to be the "Old Phase"of GM Klang, I was told. Now they only sell furnitures and home stuff. Boring.

Here is the front view of the main entrance. Don't park here, they will clamp your car.

I will be back for more stories about this place. Apparently, they have some good restaurants.
Have a nice weekend!
